The winter at the sun of the Lesser Antilles
The Lesser Antilles are an archipelago in the Caribbean Sea situated between Puerto Rico and Venezuela.
The part of the archipelago we will sail through is the so-called Windward Islands.
Christopher Columbus was the first western man to sail the Caribbean Sea in an attempt to find the route to the Indies. The islands were the refuge of buccaneers and filibusters and still preserve their old charm.
We will cross three states: Martinique, which is a French overseas department, Saint Lucia and Saint Vincent & the Grenadines, Union Island.
Our nautical base is situated at Le Marin, Martinique, from where we will leave with a comfortable catamaran with 4 double cabins with en-suite facilities. We will visit, among others, the islands of Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent , Bequia, Tobago Cays and Mayreau.
All the islands are surrounded by coral reefs and crystal-clear waters , the ideal spot for snorkeling and diving.

How to reach us
Martinique is an island of the Antilles and a French overseas department. It is actually a piece of Europe in the Caribbean Sea. The languages spoken are French and Creole. The main airport is near the capital Fort de France (FDF) and is connected with daily direct flights to Paris. We suggest Alitalia and Air France flights from Italy, that offer free transportation between Roissy Charles De Gaulle (CDG) and Orly Airport (ORY), where you find the connection to Fort de France. Other companies that schedule direct flights from Paris are Corsair and Air Caraibes. Prices of flights depend on the date of booking. An early booking always gives the opportunity to save money. For the periods of our interest, a return flight from Italy costs from € 750 to € 1.300 per person ; from Paris from € 650 to € 950 per person.
